Calendars

I have to admit that the thought of using an old calendar has never crossed my mind. I ran across a site that shows which years have the same starting dates. There are only 14 unique calendars---normal years that begin on each of the 7 days of the week, and leap years that begin on each of the 7 days of the week. A cool idea would be to find an antique/vintage calendar that works for 2010. Maybe I will keep that in mind and not throw away this year's calendar. Another idea would be to find a calendar that relates to current events, like a Farmer's Almanac calendar or an "On This Day in History" for 2010. This year's calendar could be used in 6 years again. If you happen to have a 1999 calendar laying around you could use that next year. Of course having a calendar from 1999 still laying around might say more about your personality than you might want to admit. Oh, and the big downside to this idea.....most of the holidays will not be right!!! So I think this idea is best used as just a bit of trivia at your New Year's Eve Party.
