Thought I would post this for the sweet person who frequently asks me if I have written any poetry lately. I was inspired yesterday and this was the result. And no, I'm not Catholic.
Like beads on a necklace
Placed carefully one after another
Repeating the colors over and over
The seasons come without a bother.
Sometimes slow, but often not
Time still spiraled on and on.
Even when trying to hold one special
The years were quickly going.
Dances, children, trips and walks,
Picnics, swims, houses, talks,
All have scattered in my memory
As beads from a shattered rosary.

My Scrapbook Beginnings
I am still dabbling in digital scrap-booking and decided it was time I did one of my own life. I have finished the first two pages and now it's a process of going through pictures of myself and deciding which ones to use and what to journal about them. This project goes along with my interest in the genealogy research on my family. I have a scrapbook I made for my Dad several years ago that was a history of his life, and I have a small one I have made with just my grandparents as the focus. These were done before I got into the digital aspect of scrap-booking. For Christmas I made my daughter and niece a recipe scrapbook. After Christmas I got back into my genealogy research and found so much more is available online now. It had been about 5 years since I left it all sitting in my file cabinet. Once I rejoined Ancestry.com I found another distant relative right away. I opened up a whole new area for her with pictures of her ancestors she had never seen before. And she helped me piece together information through some pictures that my grandmother had left me from the late 1800's and early 1900's. I hope to meet her this Fall.
So here are my first 2 pages and as I finish succeeding ones, I will post them here for fun.
